Spring market 2025

The city of Chemnitz is organising a spring market at Chemnitz Neumarkt in 2025.

08.04. - 19.04.25 (except 13.04. and 18.04.25) Mon - Fri 9 a.m. - 5 p.m., Sat 9 a.m. - 3 p.m.

Participants

Suppliers with the following products are authorised:

  • typical Easter/spring ranges (ceramics, table decorations, decorative items, table linen)
  • Baked goods (possibly with a show oven or other handicrafts on display)
  • Easter confectionery, ice cream
  • Smoked goods
  • cheese
  • eggs
  • Fruit and vegetables
  • Flowers and plants, Easter branches
  • Wickerwork
  • Wool, felt and natural products
  • Unpackaged food, sale of glass jars
  • Paper and stationery, books
  • Clothing (spring/summer season, children's clothing)
  • Children's toys (preferably made of wood)
  • Children's attractions (children's rides, face painting, children's handicrafts)
  • Snacks and drinks
    including
    • Langos
    • fish
    • international snack bar
    • Grill snack
    • Waffles/Crêpes
    • Trolley with outdoor seating
    • Coffee bar/sales
    • Wine sales, wine tasting and serving
    • Vegetarian/vegan dishes
  • Assortments or offers that are particularly in keeping with the character of the market

Applications

Interested parties should send their application for admission to the Chemnitz Spring Market to the City of Chemnitz, Ordnungsamt - Abt. Polizeirecht, Ordnungsrecht, Märkte, 09106 Chemnitz, using the form linked below, completed by the last working day inJanuary 2025.

A photo of the stand or an assessable design proposal must be submitted with the application for authorisation. The photo should not be laminated.

Only fully completed and signed applications will be considered.

Authorisations

  1. Authorisation may be granted for one or more days or for the entire period at the company's discretion.
  2. When granting authorisation, the City of Chemnitz will take into account market-specific requirements such as
    - the erection of a wooden hut,
    - participants demonstrating their craft on site and
    - the typical event decoration of the stand/hut.
  3. The event, the admission of participants and the relevant cost decisions are governed by the
    - Chemnitz Market Statutes and
    - Statutes of the City of Chemnitz on the levying of fees for the use of market areas of the City of Chemnitz
    in the version valid at the time of the event (in this respect, it is strongly recommended to consult the homepage of the City of Chemnitz in good time and repeatedly if necessary).

If the number of eligible and suitable applicants is too low (at least 8) (outside of the snack and beverage range), the market will not take place.
